Join designer, illustrator, and letterer Carolyn Sewell, during D.C. Design Week for an opportunity for parents and kids of all ages to get creative together!

DESCRIPTION: This event is an opportunity for parents and kids of all ages to get creative together! You’ll meet and design a one-of-a-kind art installation with Carolyn Sewell.

Carolyn’s work has been published in Communication Arts, PRINT, Grafik, HOW and The Washington Post. She and her daughter, fondly nicknamed “Biscuit”, both have a passion for bright colors and bacon! We’ll gather at Steadfast Supply, a shop whose mission is to bolster the local community by introducing emerging and independent brands and designers into the D.C. market. Bring all of your small ones — whether experienced artists or beginners, everyone is welcome.

There is a $5 refundable charge (per family) to reserve your spot – you’ll get a refund when you show up and check in!

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Carolyn Sewell is a designer/illustrator/letterer living in Raleigh, NC. A potty-mouthed lover of all things typographic and bacony, her work is hand-lettered and deep-fried in butter and hugs, topped with shiny, irreverent sprinkles. Her work has been published in Communication Arts, PRINT, Grafik, HOW and The Washington Post. Some of her clients include Dairy Queen, Hillary Clinton, Princess Cruise Lines, Rite Aid, Southern Poverty Law Center, and Starbucks. Her favorite color is glitter and folks say she’s nice.
