About Amazi: 

"Our name Amazi (ah-MAH-zee) is rooted in the Luganda word for water (amazzi). Water epitomizes growth. It is the source of all things fruitful and nourishing, the life-force of any agricultural value-chain. Like water, we exist to encourage growth, to nourish emerging economies, and to inspire a seamless flow between Uganda's organically grown produce and nourishing, consumer-driven products.

Amazi is a socially-driven food company. Sourced from farming cooperatives and hand-crafted by local agriprocessing companies in Uganda, our products support Direct Trade and Organic farm practices, reduce food waste, promote local businesses, and create job opportunities.

With every bite you take, you support the expansion of our farmers network, as well as the operations and growth of our local fruit processing partners. In turn, we commit to building communities through a Community Development Premium. For every kilogram of plantain chips, a portion of the funds goes directly to our farming communities for projects of their choosing.
